Our Team
Rory Brown, CPI, BCES, CPT
Rory Brown has always had a passion for exercise and fitness. She started teaching group exercise classes while attending The University of Texas in Austin pursuing her B.S. in Elementary Education. She continued to teach and personal train many clients throughout her 30 years of working in education. As Rory approached her retirement, she decided to further her knowledge with two 500-hour Pilates certifications. She has since shared her Pilates experience with many clients in her personal studio in Southlake, Texas, as well as several Pilates group classes. Rory has a complete understanding of how the human body moves through all stages of life, so it was only natural for her to continue her growth through the Pink Ribbon Program and become a Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist.
As a fitness enthusiast, Rory motivates her clients by sharing her strong compassion for each individual’s specific needs. She tailors their program to help strengthen their weak areas and stretch the tight ones, hoping to give a full body workout every time. She encourages her clients through her positive energy and determination for everyone to be successful. Once you have experienced her high energy, you will quickly see why her clients keep coming back for more.
In her spare time, Rory loves spending time with her granddaughters who live close by in Fort Worth, Texas. She also enjoys being with her son and his wife who live in Austin. Family is a huge part of her life. When she has an extra minute, she volunteers at her church where she serves as a Stephen Minister. Rory and her husband have been married for 41 years, and look forward to traveling a little more now that he is retiring soon. No matter where you see her, you will always be greeted with a big smile and a huge hug.
Holly Talbot, CPI, BCES
Holly’s personal journey to discovering true wellness and body awareness began at a young age as an avid sprinter and bicyclist. However, it was not until she became a young mother of three children with disabilities that she realized the critical need for her whole family to be healthy. Diagnosed with her own auto-immune disease in her late thirties and job-related injuries in her forties sent her searching for further answers. Pilates became a catalyst in changing her life: it transformed her body, helped clear her mind, and by helping her body get strong and feeling better it moved her closer to God in the process.
While pursuing her Pilates certification she began working with a doctor focused on a whole-body approach in treatment modalities. There she began training as a BStrongLife instructor, using Power Plates to empower treatment for all levels of patients needing reconditioning. She is also a certified technician for SoftwareTRT, using frequency and vibration to heal the body. After receiving her 500-hour comprehensive certification for Pilates, she began teaching classes at a local studio and in her personal studio for clients seeking private sessions.
It is a joy for Holly to share her love for Pilates and her story of bringing her pain to a purpose, as well as grow in her own personal practice. Receiving her certification as a Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist with the Pink Ribbon Program is a beautiful extension of her desire to help individuals heal and grow stronger in their mind, body, and spirit. Looking back, she sees how God shaped and allowed her to Move Through challenging times in her own life to prepare her to share the healing power of movement and the restorative power of Pilates as a career.
In her spare time, Holly enjoys traveling and riding bicycles with her husband, Joe. Her favorite forms of self-care are channeling her creativity into painting, photography, cooking, and baking for her family. She is almost always listening to music and spends any extra time she has researching ways to heal the body naturally.
